On the Road... with State Radio!
 
The economic crisis in this country is affecting more and more Americans by the minute. People who never thought they’d need to use the services of a food bank find themselves unable to feed their families or themselves without one. Food Banks are being hit hard and are finding their shelves emptied in record time.  That’s where Rock for a Remedy and State Radio come in. Beginning on January 30th in Boulder, Colorado  and for the rest of State Radio’s Winter ‘09 Tour,  we have the ability to fill those shelves in every city.   RFAR and State Radio are asking concertgoers to donate what they can, be it one can or ten… and it’ll add up fast!  Donations are then distributed to so many in the local community: Middle class families.  Homeless shelters.  Women’s shelters.  The sick.  The poor.  Our neighbors, our families, ourselves.  35.5 MILLION PEOPLE. It’s not hard to help. Here are 3 ways how: 1. Bring a bag of non-perishables to an upcoming show and help fill those vacant shelves.  Whether it’s a single can or an entire box of food, every little bit makes a difference.  And if you bring three items or more, you’ll be entered to win  a State Radio t-shirt of your choice and an autographed poster!  2. Volunteer with Rock for a Remedy and collect food items at an upcoming show in your area.  Click here to find out where we still need help! 3. Join Chad, Chuck, and Mad Dog in service at a food bank or soup kitchen in select cities. Click here to save yourself a volunteer slot at a service project.  Volunteering allows local organizations to direct more financial resources toward the hungry people really who need them.
